Amazon.de compliance checklist

Entry to Amazon.de is usually blocked by paperwork, not by the product. Some obligations apply to every seller, others only to certain products or markets - tick the ones that apply to you.

0% Ready

Applies to every seller

Depends on your product or market

Mark an item as not applicable if it does not apply to you - it will be excluded from the readiness score.

This is a checklist, not legal advice. What applies depends on your product, your selling model and where stock is held - confirm with an adviser or directly with the register operator.

Paperwork, not product

The most common reason a foreign seller gets blocked on Amazon.de has nothing to do with the goods. It is a missing registration number: WEEE for anything electrical, LUCID for packaging, a GPSR Responsible Person on the listing. Each is cheap but slow to obtain, and expensive to fix once the account has been flagged.

Order matters

Registrations take weeks; listings take days. Start the WEEE and LUCID applications before you write a single title — they set the pace of the whole launch, not the catalogue work. We have seen finished launches sit unpublishable for a month, waiting on a registration number that should have been applied for first.

This is a checklist, not legal advice

What applies depends on your product, your selling model and where your stock is held. The list covers what comes up again and again on real launches; it is a starting point for a conversation with an adviser or directly with the register operator, not a substitute for one.

Why we built it

We run this list on every Amazon launch. Handing it over is faster than explaining it, and if you work through it yourself and everything checks out, you do not need us for that part. If the gaps look like weeks of paperwork, that is exactly what Amazon EU Expansion covers.
